Cocaine 80's is a kind of collective, held by the legendary No I.D. and including one of my favorite rappers (if not my favorite rapper) of all time, Common. Singer James Fauntleroy, guitarist Steve Wyreman, engineer Rob Kinelski, keyboardist Kevin Randolph, and Makeba are also part of the team.
I went on Cocaine 80's thanks to a video about the Soul Train Music Awards I was watching on Bitchie TV (NecoleBitchie.com). After some research, I found a seven-tracks project the group released this summer, called The Pursuit.
